Created to combine yacht racing, team building, corporate entertainment and business-to-business networking into two fun days of racing on a matched fleet of Sunfast 37ft yachts in the Solent, situated on the south coast of England just over an hour from London.
Corporate Entertainment
At the same time, what better way to entertain your clients than to enjoy gourmet food and fine wines whilst watching your team race and cruising aboard a luxury powerboat or an elegant ocean-going racing yacht – well away from the normal distractions of business life.
B2B Networking
Carefully scheduled into the Cowes International Cup programme are a number of onshore events, each with a guest speaker, to create a warm, socially engaging atmosphere where participants and spectators alike can share their experiences and get to know each other. This combination of social events lends itself to B2B networking – meeting new contacts from a wide range of companies.

Yacht Racing and Team Building
Sailing onboard a yacht is a great leveller. In order to successfully manage the boat, the crew have to listen to the Skipper, to fellow crew members and communicate clearly themselves. Sharing the highs and lows, excitement, thrills and spills of great days' racing on the water is a brilliant way of fostering shared memories, experiences and sheer enjoyment for management and staff alike. Regatta sailing brings people together in a positive, adventurous way and helps them master new skills, share common goals and discover new things about themselves and their colleagues.
Everyone’s a Winner!
The Cowes International Cup came about when the Founders noticed that corporate yacht regattas normally fit into one of three categories – team building exercises (often too strenuous for less experienced crews), pure corporate entertainment or those restricted to one category of business. As a result, they created the Cowes International Cup as a unique opportunity for a wide range of commercial organisations to combine yacht racing, team building, corporate entertainment and business-to-business networking all in a single event.
